Now that fall is in full-swing I’ve had to adjust my skin care routine and really amp up on the hydration products. I have veryyy dry and sensitive skin which means that fall and winter are not the kindest to me. Here in Southern California the air becomes very dry this time of year. We also have these lovely high winds that can have a pretty harsh effect on skin and allergies. Seriously, as I write this my skin feels tight, itchy, and I keep sniffling my nose. Over the years I have tried countless products that claim to be uber-hydrating, but I’ve narrowed it down to these rockstar products.
#1 Evercalm: Ultra Comforting Rescue Mask
Ren Skincare has done it again with this soothing mask. Whenever my skin feels allergic, super dry or just in need of some TLC I apply this mask. It calms down redness and inflammation. I highly recommend this mask to anyone with sensitive skin.
#2 1000 Roses Rosewater Gel Mask
This is another mask that I LOVE. Andalou Naturals make some of my favorite products and almost every item I have bought from them works like a charm. I have been using this specific mask for years. One of it’s main ingredients is Hyaluronic Acid, I love hyaluronic Acid because it does a great job at locking in moisture. This mask leaves your skin feeling plump and hydrated!
#3 Kale + Spinach Green Tea Hyaluronic Acid Face Cream
Youth to the People is another brand I really trust. Obviously Hyaluronic acid is becoming a trend here, but there’s good reason for it.. it works! I like to incorporate this cream in my night-time routine when the weather is dry. The green tea has a really calming effect on the skin as well.
#4 Rosewater & Glycerin Spray
You can find one of these bottels in my car, makeup bag or in my purse at all times. This is one of my holy grail products and I use this spray year round. I love using it after a workout or sauna session, after I wash my face, before I apply my makeup, and after I apply my makeup as a setting spray! I also love how inexpensive it is!
#5 Water-Max Sleeping Mask
Clearly I love masks.. Dr. Jart is another one of my favorite brands because all of their products are high quality and do exactly what they say they do! I love that this product is for while you sleep, you can basically multitask while you sleep! Does it get any better than that?! If you suffer from really dry skin, like me, this one’s for you. I wouldn’t recommend this one to my blessed friends who don’t have any dry skin issues. Although light-weight, It’s pretty heavy duty and might be too much for you.
#6 Malin & Goetz Vitamin E Face cream
I love Malin & Goetz. Its cleaner skincare meets high-end. This cream WORKS. I only have the travel size as it was in a gift bag but I will be buying it once this one runs out. This cream is pretty rich so you only need a dime-size amount. It leaves your skin glowing and feeling hydrated. Fun Fact! Vitamin E can also help reduce dark spots and hyper pigmentation! this one get’s an A+ from me.
#7 Organic Magic Balm
Dr. Bronner’s is a really well known brand amongst health freaks, their Products are simple and get the job done. This arnica and menthol infused balm is not only a great moisturizer for rough patches and tough skin but it can also be used on sore muscles and to clear sinus’. I like to rub this balm on my chest before bed when my allergies cause sinus congestion.
